Hi, I’m Kristin Clauson, an intern with CFCC currently pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy through Friends University.
My path into counseling has been shaped by a lifelong interest in people, relationships, and the systems that influence our lives. Before beginning my program, I’ve spent more than 15 years in human resources, where I learned the value of listening well, navigating challenges with integrity, and supporting people through seasons of change and growth.
Over the years, my personal and professional experiences have deepened my understanding of resilience and the human need for connection. They have shown me how much healing can happen when people are offered a safe space to be fully known – where they feel seen, valued, and accepted just as they are.
I believe people are more than the life challenges that bring them to counseling. Each person carries a unique story shaped by their experiences, relationships, and the world around them. My desire is to understand the whole person and walk alongside them with compassion and respect as they journey through healing and growth.
I am grateful for the opportunity to complete my internship at CFCC, where I can have the honor to hold safe space for others and their own journeys through compassionate, Christ-centered care.
Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my two children and keeping up with their busy schedules. Whether I'm playing any number of sports with friends, cheering on the Chiefs as a lifelong fan, or gathering with my family and community, I value the relationships that bring meaning, connection, and joy to everyday life.
