I offer another perspective on the treatment of mental illness through the practice of pastoral counseling. As a pastoral counselor I specialize in providing healing and hope to individuals, couples and families through the professional integration of psychotherapy and Christian spirituality. As a clinical marriage and family therapist I specialize in working with couples across a range of issues.
Prior to joining CFCC I was a clinical partner at Heritage Mental Health Clinic here in Topeka. Currently I am serving as a vacancy pastor for Trinity Lutheran Church in McFarland, Kansas. I served as a pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Topeka for nineteen years. As part of this ministry, I maintained a pastoral counseling practice with individuals, couples and families. Before entering the ministry, I served as an active-duty US Army infantry officer in a variety of leadership, command and staff assignments, and retired from active duty in October 1994.
